Create For A Cause

Create For A Cause is a project to help support non-profit organizations that are doing amazing things in the Metro East and St. Louis. By making art (AAR and the community), we fill the shelves with art that when purchased, directly benefits the non-profit. Each organization will be highlighted for an entire month. We sell art for them and help promote them on social media all month long. Our mission is to raise awareness about these organizations and

provide financial support to uplift their efforts.

This month we are featuring

Riverbend Down Syndrome Association

The Riverbend Down Syndrome Association (501(c)(3) supports individuals with Down syndrome and their families from birth through adulthood.

Their mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families through advocacy, education, and community engagement to foster inclusion, acceptance, and supportive environments.

What They Offer & Key Activities

Family & Early Support: Provides resources spanning early intervention programs, government aid connections (such as IDHS and PUNS), and community peer groups like the RDSA Mom's Connection.
Adolescent & Young Adult Programs: Offers targeted guidance as individuals transition into adulthood, focusing on life skills, personal finance, daily living activities, workplace readiness, social engagement, and housing/guardianship options.
Community Advocacy: Collaborates with local employers and community organizations to promote inclusive workplaces and accessible local resources.
Education & Outreach: Organizes community events, awareness campaigns, and volunteer opportunities to fund education and support services.

How you can help.

When the community comes together we can move mountains! Two wonderful ways to help support the mission is to purchase art from the Create For A Cause Wall and the other way is to actually create art works that can be placed on the wall to sell for the organization to benefit.
